AC 2.040-1

The AC 2.040-1 features a fully hydraulic boom that can telescope under load, as well as extraordinary taxi crane capabilities ensured by a design that minimises weight. Projects such as roofing work, solar panel installations, and lifting work material at work sites are ideal for the AC 2.040-1.

Product description

The Start Of Something Big

Big things often start out small, but not that small in this case – with the AC 2.040-1, Tadano has launched its first joint development. The crane offers the best of both worlds, with a prime example being the IC‑1 Plus control system, which ensures that the machine can always take advantage of the maximum lifting capacity available to it regardless of its current outrigger configuration. Other examples include the E-Pack for zero-emission crane operation, the one-of-a-kind Surround View camera system that helps with positioning at the work site and makes travel to and from there safer, and the Flex Base, an outrigger system with outriggers that can be extended to any point within their available range.

In addition, its outstanding carrier not only provides it with enormous gradeability and good acceleration, but also with very quiet travel operation. And to make things even more convenient, the crane remains under 12-tonne axle load limits even with 1.1 tonnes of counterweight. Another highlight is its robust boom, which makes it the most powerful two-axle unit on the market in steep boom positions: With the boom fully extended at 35.2 meters, it can lift loads of up to 7.6 tonnes at a radius of eight meters – something that no other crane in this class can do!
