Grúas Cigales receives the first Tadano ATF 60G-3 in all of Spain

The team at Spanish crane service provider Grúas Cigales has clearly acquired a taste for Tadano: The company put a new Tadano ATF-100-4.1 into operation last year, and is now expanding its fleet with another Tadano crane in the form of a brand new ATF 60G-3. The latter is the first crane of this model to be delivered in Spain by Tadano.

“We really trust the performance and innovative spirit behind the Tadano brand, and the new ATF 60G-3 is a typical example of both. It made such an impression on us with its numerous technical advantages that we simply did not want to go without one,” points out Santiago Rodríguez, Owner. This includes, for example, the HELLO-NET intelligent fleet management system, which can be used to take care of all the servicing and maintenance planning for the crane and save both time and money. He was also impressed by the engine’s placement at the back of the superstructure, which ensures that the ATF 60G-3 has an optimal axle load distribution. With this layout, it is the only 60-tonne crane on the market that can travel on public roads while staying under an axle load limit of ten tonnes and carrying a hook block with a 20-tonne load capacity. At the work site, the ATF 60G-3 stands out as a result of its exceptionally tight slewing radius. This, in combination with asymmetrical outrigger configurations, makes it an excellent choice even when space is extremely constrained.

When things get tight, the ATF 60G-3 does not break a sweat. This is due to the fact that Tadano “treated” it to the most compact main boom on the market. This main boom features seven telescoping sections instead of the usual six, which enables the ATF 60G-3 to get to a reach of up to 48 meters outdoors while also being extremely versatile inside buildings with low ceiling heights thanks to a short 9.5-meter main boom base section. This is especially true with the new hook block, which can be installed directly on the main boom head. In certain cases, the centimeters saved with this can make all the difference. And with the main boom, the crane can show off in yet another way: Thanks to its powerful 485-kN telescopic cylinder, it is able to telescope loads of over 40 tonnes at a radius of three meters. “That’s not something you see anywhere else,” says Santiago Rodríguez, in awe of his new acquisition.
